The Organization tab
Overview, People, Structures, Milestones, Announcements, Performance, Files, Reports and Asks.
Organization is the workspace at a glance - up to nine sections, switched from the row of pills at the top. Some appear only where they apply, noted below.
| Section | What's in it |
|---|---|
| Overview | Workspace stats and every project you can see - owner, visibility, progress, overdue count, next milestone. Each row opens that project. |
| People | The directory: search, presence, contact details, teams, roles, and Edit my details. For admins it's also where people are invited and admitted - seats, invite codes and pending join requests sit above the directory. |
| Structures | Org charts and diagrams you draw, and can sync to your teams, divisions and roles. In a sub-organization, structures a parent organization shares down are listed here too, marked with the organization they come from - you can open and read them, and only that organization can change them. Shown when the Org Structure extension is installed. |
| Milestones | Organization milestones - dates every project here shares (and, when chosen, every sub-organization's project). Everyone sees them; people who can edit the organization add and change them. |
| Announcements | Workspace-wide announcements. |
| Performance | Per-person load and throughput, with per-team roll-ups. Shown to people who manage members. |
| Files | Org-level reference material, plus reports and exports. |
| Reports | Reports people file about workplace issues, and the queue for whoever handles them. Anyone can file one; the pill shows for handlers and for people who have filed. |
| Asks | Questions, polls and times you have put to your team, with who has answered, who is still to, and any other times people suggested. Only you see your own. A reply notification opens the question it is about. |
It's only visible to people who manage members - for anyone else the data isn't even loaded and the section isn't in the nav. It counts co-assignees, not just the primary assignee, so shared work is credited to everyone doing it.
Where the CRM is installed, each person's open opportunities and their value sit beside their project figures - so somebody carrying a large deal and no board cards is not counted as having nothing on. Those two CRM columns are the same for every manager who can see this section, because CRM records are workspace-wide; the four project columns beside them are scoped to what you personally can see, so two managers can legitimately read different numbers for the same person. The table says which is which.
You add entries - a title, a link, a kind and a summary - rather than uploading files here. File upload lives on each Noot's Files tab, where the project context is. The section says so on screen rather than offering a button that doesn't work.
If your workspace has sub-organizations, anybody who can manage the organization can open a file's menu on Files (right-click, long-press or Shift+F10) and turn on Share with sub-organizations. Everyone in every sub-organization below you - children and their children - can then open and download it, read-only; only your workspace can rename, reclassify, remove or stop sharing it. It is off for every file until somebody turns it on, it never reaches a parent or a sibling workspace, and turning it off takes it away at once. In a sub-organization, shared files sit in their own From group with the sharing organization's name on them.
Everything on this tab is scoped to what you can actually see. A private project's name, tasks and events never appear here for someone outside it.
