Concerns and anonymity
What an anonymous concern stores, and how you keep access to it.
Anyone can raise a concern about a workplace issue. On the new Organization tab it is under People → HR hub → Concerns for the people who handle them, and anyone can file one.
- An anonymous concern stores no identity. Who filed it is not saved with the concern, its messages or its files.
- You get a case key, shown once. Copy or download it when you file: it cannot be shown again or recovered. With it you can open the case, read replies, reply and add files.
- Backups are the limit. Your identity is removed from the live system; backups made before then expire within 35 days.
- Handlers are told by the day, not the minute. The people who handle concerns see it in their notifications dated that day, and get one email the next day saying how many were filed - never an email at the moment you file.
- What you write can still identify you. Anonymity removes the stored link to you, not what the words themselves say.
Note
A named concern works as before.
